What I Like and Admire ABout Brian

by Sheila McDonald

What I like and admire most about my brother Brian is how he lives his life and in retrospect, what it has taught me.

One of the biggest things I have learned from Brian is his ability to sincerely enjoy life! He is remarkable.

He lives in the moment and he makes the most of the "present moment" enjoying the people around him, the activity, or whatever he is doing at the time. He is paramount in finding the good in every situation and not dwelling on what is not going well.

What a good philosophy to have!

One of the best things I love about my brother, Brian is his warmth and sincerity. He is such a likeable and friendly person. He greets everyone with a warm smile, a hug or a handshake or a pat on the back. The smile on his face and his warm words of greeting are truly honest when they are coming from Brian.

A great strength I have learned from my brother is his very forgiving nature. he holds no grudges toward anyone, including those with the intelligence who can treat him otherwise. He is not a snitch, no matter what has happened. He forgives almost immediatey and deals with situations in the moment. If there is something not sitting right with Brian, well then, by golly, you're going to hear about it! Yes, he voices his opinion, then moves on and does not harbor ill will or hold grudges.

Another thing I admire about Brian is his positive outlook and attitude. He is always looking for the next fun activity to do and is ecstatic to have his friends or family be part of his life. He is truly a "people person" and shares his time unconditionally especially, if it may include supper ;)

I truly admire and respect my brother for how he handles and lives his life. It has shape dhim to become the wonderful man he has grown to be.
