History By Subject

Fifty years in the making, the history of the Grande Prairie Association for the Mentally Handicapped is a story that is as remarkable as the people who have made it happen. The history can be followed from its inception by taking a look at the major milestones and accomplishments that have played a part in its formation.

The links in this section provide information about the history by subject. Categories are arranged so that each section provides a short overview of the subject matter, followed by interviews with some of the people who were instrumental in creating, maintaining and fostering the growth of the Association from the early years to the present day.
